Traditional Karate
offers to young people the opportunity to reach a harmonic equilibrium
between body and mind. In fact we find, in Karate, all the essential
psychomotor elements.
The great richness
of technical program includes, besides the functional preparatory
gymnastics (Taiso), individual exercises (Kihon and Kata) and exercises
with a partner (Kumite).
Kihon and Kata teach children how
to take the maximum advantage from the potentialities of their own
bodies. Moreover this training allows children to gain self-confidence,
thanks to the continuous overcoming of limits they considered
insurmountable. |
|
Studying Kumite,
children learn to manage interpersonal relations, to recognise the
partner as a different and, at the same time, equal person and also to
create, with a combination of solidarity and co-operation, an atmosphere
of friendship and deeply-rooted respect.
In the course of time the
mentality, acquired during training sessions, is strongly interiorized
till becoming rule of life. |

|

It is easy to understand how
values emphasized in the practice of this discipline can be used in each moment
of life to face study, interpersonal relations and every kind of obstacle with
the serenity originated from the confidence in their own means and with respect
for themselves and for others, sure indication of a deep inner maturity.
