1949 - Juntou-se à London School of Judo (L. J. S.), o primeiro instituto a
ensinar Judo no London County Council). Foi promovido a 2.º Kyu em 10
meses, pelo falecido Sensei G. Koizumi, pai do Jûdô inglês e também
mestre do famoso jûdôka G. Gleeson.
1951 - Instrutor de Jûdô no Lewisham
Mens Institute.
1954 Promovido a 1.º Dan na L. J. S.
1955 - Logo após a chegada ao Reino Unido de Sensei
Kenshiro Abbe, Wood torna-se seu discípulo interno. É promovido a 2.º Dan.
1956 - Nomeado Instrutor Chefe para a Abbe
Judo School. Promovido a 3.º Dan.
1958 - Foi um dos fundadores do Britsh Judo
Council (B. J. C.). Esta associação seguia os ensinamentos de Sensei Abbe
e os seus membros estudavam Jûdô, Karatedô, Aikidô, Kendô.
1961 - Foi o primeiro campeão de Kendô do
B.J.C. Primeira graduação Dan em Kendô do B. J. C.).
1963 - Nomeado, a tempo inteiro,
Secretário-Geral do B. J. C. Nesta qualidade organizou a famosa
demonstração de artes marciais ocorrida no Royal Albert Hall, em Londres,
com a participação de Kenshiro Abbe, 8.º Dan, Haku Michigami, na época
7.º Dan, ambos já falecidos, M. Nakazono, 7.º Dan e M. Noro, 6.º Dan,
ambos do Aikidô, e ainda M. Harada, 5.º Dan Karatedô e M. Fukuda, 5.º
Dan B. J. C. 1964 B.J.C representou o Organizing Committee of the Olympic
Judo Team selections. 1965 Nomeado treinador nacional e conselheiro técnico
para o B.J.C.
1968 - Organizou o maior, na época,
campeonato de Jûdô para adolescentes, em Oxford, onde participaram 850
jovens.
1969 - Promovido a 4.º Dan BJC.
1972 - Promovido a 5.º Dan BJC.
1974 - Torna-se discípulo de Haku Michigami
9.º Dan.
1976 - Promovido a 6.º Dan BJC.
1985 - É nomeado representante daAcademie de
Judo Michigami (França) em Inglaterra.
1991 - Promovido a 7.º Dan B.J.C. Funda a
Busen Academy of Martial Arts, Sports & Movement com o Sr. C. Heywood.
Nomeado representante da Grã-Betanha na European Judo Teachers Union.
1993 - Membro fundador da British Judo &
Budo Federation.
1994 - Juntou-se à I.M.A.F. (Kokusai Budoin)
Japan.
1996 - Foi assistente de Sensei Sato, 9.º
Dan, num estágio de Jûdô promovido pelo I.M.A. F. em Itália.
1997 - Recebeu o título Kyoshi do I.M.A.F
Japan.
1998 - Voltou a ser assistente de Sensei Sato,
9.º Dan, num estágio de Jûdô promovido pelo I. M. A. F. Completou neste ano 50 anos de estudo do Jûdô.
1999 - Promovido a 8.º Dan pelo I. M. A. F.
Frequenta o
estágio de Jûdô de Bordéus, orientado por Haku Michigami, desde 1974.
Possui graduaçõoes Dan em Kendô, Aikidô e Karatedô desde 1961.

1951 - Judo instuctor to the
Lewisham Mens Institute.
1954 - Promoted to 1st dan at the
L.J.S and won championships.
1955 - Became "special pupil"
of Master Kenshiro Abbe upon his arrival to the U.K.. Promoted to 2nd Dan.
1956 - Appointed Chief Instructor to
the Abbe Judo School. Promoted to 3rd Dan.
1958 - One of the founder members of
the Britsh Judo
Council (B.J.C.)
1961 - First Kendo Champion of the
B.J.C. First Kendo Dan grade.
1962 - Became the 5th Hon.Sec. of
the B.J.C (membership just under 3000).
1963 - Appointed full time Gen.Sec.
of the B.J.C. (membership over 7500). Organized the famous Royal Albert Hall
Display featuring:-K.Abbe 8th Dan H.Michigami 7th Dan. M.Nakazono 7th Dan
Aikido. M Noro 6th Dan Aikido. M.Harada 5th Dan Karate. M.Fukuda 5th Dan
B.J.C, Rep to the Federation of B.J.O.
1964 - B.J.C Rep to the Organizing
Committee of the Olympic Judo Team selections. Membership of the B.J.C over
13000.
1965 - Appointed national coach
& technical adviser to the B.J.C (M.A.C) after the B.J.C was reformed.
1968 - Organised the (then) largest
ever junior Judo tournament at Oxford town hall,with over 850 juniors
competing.
1969 - Promoted to 4th Dan BJC.
1972 - Promoted to 5th Dan BJC.
1974 - Became a pupil of Haku
Michigami 9th Dan.
1976 - Promoted to 6th Dan BJC.
1985 - Appointed to British Rep by
the Academie de Judo Michigami (France).
1991 - Promoted to 7 th Dan.(B.J.C)
Founded the Busen of Martial Arts,Sports & Movement with Mr C.Heywood.
Appointed British Rep by the European Judo Teachers Union.(UnioEuropeanne
DeSyndicatests De Professeurs De Judo).
1993 - Founder member of the British
Judo & Budo Federation.
1994 - Joined I.M.A.F.(Kokusai
Budoin)Japan.
1996 - Assisted Mr Sato(9th Dan)by
teaching Judo in Italy at an I.M.A.F seminar.
1997 - Awarded the title "Kyoshi"
by I.M.A.F Japan.
1998 - Assisted Mr Sato (9th Dan) by
teaching Judo at an I.M.A.F seminar.Has attended the Bordeaux International
Judo Course since 1974 with Mr Michigami 9th Dan. Also holds grades in Kendo,
Akido & Karate since 1961.
50 years study of Judo.
1999 - Promoted to 8th Dan by
